Southwood Christian Church contributed to the support of this Christian-based college in the former Soviet Union state of Ukraine in the city of Simferopol, Crimea. That monetary commitment was completed in May 2006; however, Southwood continues to support the college through prayer.
The college teaches a classical liberal education in the pattern of the early colleges in the United States that were founded on Biblical Christianity and teaching. Most of the students live at the university and are training to become translators/interpreters around the World. Currently the United Nations is using the graduates from this college with great success. Ministers, missionaries, church planters, and business professionals are a few of the professions of students and graduates of this university. How about that for getting Christians into world affairs on the ground floor? Many Ukrainians are coming to Christ after years of no Christian influence in thinking.
Kentucky Christian College is the point of contact in the United States for Crimean-American College and additional info can be also be gained through either web site. |
