A cooperative effort of churches, community organizations and private contributors of Hunt County that has been filling a need left vacant by government and community programs. FISH helps those who are desperately falling through the cracks concerning family financial, food, medical and housing needs.
Before President Bush recommended that the faith community step in the gap and help the less fortunate through combined action, FISH had been working for years. Our own Jaynie Oakley is a board member of FISH. Southwood Christian Church has supported this mission work for over ten years. FISH is located at the corner of Texas and O'Neal streets in the old Greenville Hospital building.
